Outside Broadcast Engineer/Designer 2013-Present

In 2013 Cyril designed and managed the construction of Riverside Television’s Outside Broadcast Unit ROB 1, the first project for the unit was ‘The Hit’ for Vision Independent Productions and RTÉ. 

This was a five camera studio show recorded in the O2 Arena along with a twelve camera fixed rig using Panasonic Hotheads.

Cyril continues to design and operate bespoke Fixed rig and traditional Outside Broadcasts for many productions. 

ROB 2 a new larger eight camera HD/UHD OB unit was completed in 2020.

Satellite Uplink Engineer 2015-Present 

In 2015 Riverside Television acquired its KU Band Satellite uplink vehicle from NBC London where Cyril received his  training. 

The vehicle now supplies live uplinks at all the Rugbaí Beo Connacht Pro14 games for TG4 and the world feed.

In 2018 Cyril transferred the KU facilities from the old NBC truck into a new Hybrid vehicle which is now capable of KU and IP transmission and has full Outside Broadcast/ Fixed rig capabilities.
